Do you have a good pic of your boxer that would be great for our "Monday Face" posters? Send them to info@BoxerRescueNWA.org; in the subject write "PERMISSION TO USE FOR MONDAY FACE POSTER." We'll post a "Dis is my Monday Face" poster weekly...

Sadie Hawkins is with Boxer Rescue of Texarkana. If interested, please go to their website in the sidebar and fill out an application. She's a cutie.
Here is what her foster mom has to say:
Meet our latest foster, Miss Sadie Hawkins. She won't be single long. She might just be the perfect boxer. She's here with 5 other boxers and gets along with everyone. She plays, snuggles, and gives great kisses. She is a big girl but the perfect weight and is very active. She minds and is house trained. We love her but she needs her very own forever home.

My sister-in-law sent me a text with this pitiful picture of a boxer in need a few weeks ago. He was a stray that wandered up to a house that already had four dogs. They took him to the vet to check for micro-chips, nothing. He was a malnourished, 18 month of boxer boy that just needed a family to love him. He was described by the family that found him as calm and sweet, but they already had too many dogs. So, the texts, emails and facebook messages started flying. Surely SOMEONE could help this boy!! Rescues were full, no room at the inn. And, then an innocent text was made to a fellow rescue friend just asking for contacts. I knew she had recently said goodbye to her sweet boxer, Jaxson and didn't think she was ready for addition to her house yet. But, as it turned out, lucky for this boxer boy, that innocent text, sparked something that was missing for her. Turns out, she couldn't stop thinking about him. He was meant to be hers. It's only been 5 weeks. Look at the transformation in just that short amount of time:
Who rescued who? I don't think we'll ever know for sure. What I do know is the happy ending for this boxer boy is how I wish it were for all of them. He got the most loving home a dog could ask for! He is now living the spoiled life.
This is what rescue is all about. Give that beaten up, mangy looking dog a chance. They will turn into a beautiful best friend and family member with just a little love and kindness from you.
I'm sure you'll be seeing more "after" pictures of Benson. His Momma loves to share pictures of him, and he's quite photogenic!
